On January 22 at Tuff-N-Uff 151 in Las Vegas, a UFC employee delivered a breathtaking knockout in a mere four seconds, instantly becoming one of the standout highlights of the evening.
Yet, it was a fighter's post-fight interview that captured attention rather than the actions taken inside the cage. David Goldenberg made a significant statement after winning his third professional fight, humorously poking fun at Dana White.
“Hey Sean Shelby, Hunter Campbell, and who’s the third musketeer? The bald guy. He kinda looks like a bloated Mr. Clean,” he quipped in the cage. “What’s his name? Dean, Don, Dino? Oh right, Dana White! You better wake up, because the next big thing is here. So get your checkbook ready; let’s make some money!”
The reactions from fans were mixed; some found his boldness amusing, while others believed he might have jeopardized any chance of competing in the UFC.
White's reply to Goldenberg's comments on social media clearly indicates his disapproval. He stated, "Worst fight of the night. He really brought down the quality with his performance and then acts like he delivered the Fight of the Night. Notably, former ONE Championship titleholder Smilla Sundell made a strong impression on Dana White.
As White pointed out, there were other fighters at Tuff-N-Uff 151 whose performances spoke volumes. He specifically acknowledged Smilla Sundell, who made a formidable entrance into professional MMA with an aggressive display in the clinch.
Sundell recently transitioned from Muay Thai to MMA. At just 21 years old, she made history as the youngest athlete to win a world title in Muay Thai when she claimed the inaugural strawweight championship at ONE Championship by defeating Jackie Buntan at the age of 17.
